    First time here in a long time. On a Paleo diet so I thought this would be a good place for a quick healthy lunch. Sat at the bar - only one at the bar- bartender nowhere in sight for 10 minutes- hostess finally alerted her I was here. I had salmon& spinach - cooked well and tasty with Tabasco. Bathroom is clean and once I was served , service was good . Calories are on menu - I'd come again but only alone for a quick bite!

    Menu has changed quite a bit to keep up with competition. We went last night (Sunday) at 5 pm and there were only a few other people there. Service is slow, but it was courteous. Did have to ask twice for water refill and when I did get it, it was mostly water with just a tiny bit of ice. Ordered just a cup of ice for my water. The new Thai Shrimp Salad was REALLY good and I would go back for it again, we just won't be in any kind of hurry.

    not a big fan of applebee's, but occasionally would go for their half price appetizers. They changed the menu on what you can choose. I chose quesidillas. I am not kidding there was probably 5 bites of chicken on the entire 5 pieces I got. Never going back. Spinach dip was burnt and about 2 spoonfuls.

    This location is terribly slow. Went to go to lunch at 2pm and the restaurant was dead. Took at least an hour to get our food. Servers stand around doing nothing most of the time I'm ever here.

    Placed my first online order for 2 baked potatoes to be ready at 7:20 (half an hour before pick up time) for car side to go. My husband arrived on time and it still wasn't ready. When I called to see why they weren't ready the girl actually said "it's only 7:30" already 10 minutes late. It takes 40 minutes for 2 baked potatoes?

    I came here about a month ago. My mashed potatoes were cold. They brought me out a microwave version of them to go with my meal after I said something. I'm here tonight with a date. She ordered her steak rare. It came out well done. We have been here near an hour and still waiting on our second rate steak. Not played at all with this place. I will never be back.

    Have to say I'm not a fan of the big corporate chains and am still mad at them for getting rid of Fajitas but I do enjoy Applebee's soup and salad for lunch. This particular time I was with my family and was greeted at the door and quickly sat in a booth. We ordered appetizers off the little table computer and were quickly brought them right after we ordered our main dishes. Food was good and our overall experience was great. I know locations can vary from location to location but this place does it right.

    I've been to Applebee's a few times (in-laws like it) and it seems to have gone from average to less than average. Considering my meals have usually come out wrong, I am not supprised since the person who takes you order isn't the one who serves it (I still don't understand "server" when someone else serves your order). Less than 1/3 of the time my steak has been at the right temperature. Now that they have installed new "card readers" at the table it is really difficult to get a receipt! Oh, I'm not sure that I need to have a "recommended tip" when I'm on the verge of stiffing the staff! It might be easier to cover high volume times but come on, why should I "tip" when I have to handle the cash register myself. The rating says "I've experienced better" and I have, at Applebee's! I'm giving 2 stars because they do have a full menu and bar, but service and food will disappoint almost every time. Save your money and head farther up 291 to 54th Street Grill. Better service and food, less of an "eating factory" - and you decide the tip!

    I find Applebee's to be pretty average. Not bad, but not a real standout. I probably wouldn't seek them out, as I'd generally try something more interesting or something new. Middle of the road. That's probably what appeals to some people. You know what you are going to get, it will be decent, it's a known quantity. Some folks like staying in a comfort zone.

    Went to dinner here last night with hubby. We had a gift card and didn't want to cook. It was a good place to start our early vacation. We happened to get there just as happy hour was ending and hubby wanted a Long Island Iced Tea and low and behold that was one of the specials, so he got his tea. The tea was good, strong and not watery, like some places we have had them make them, especially during happy hour. We were also hungry so we both ordered the Parmesan Shrimp steak. Hubby got a salad and I got the steamed veggies. We both opted for the garlic mashed potatoes, which have become a comfort food to both of us. Applebee's has now started to add stuff to the garlic mash and I added bacon and sour cream. There was lots of large bacon bits, which made me very happy. Our steaks were cooked to our request, medium, and the shrimp and cheese on top was yummy. Oh and we tried a new appetizer, the pretzel bread sticks with beer cheese sauce and honey mustard dressing. We would both highly recommend this new appetizer. Not too salty, the pretzels were really soft and they were just plain yummy. Of course with all this food, we both took home our extra portions for the next day and left the restaurant stuffed. I also want to give a 5 star rating to our server Shelby. She was efficient and friendly and our meal did not drag. There was no problem paying with a gift card and pre-paid Visa cards (like we had yesterday when we ate at a different more pretentious restaurant). This is our Applebee's and I am not sure why I haven't written a review of this particular store earlier.

    You know what they serve already, right? But it's close to hwy 50, which makes it very convenient for those of us who travel that corridor, and the folks at the bar are friendly & the service good. Good spot for a late night drink & a nosh -- the appetizers are half-price after ten.

    As of this review, I have visited this Applebee's about 5 times now. They currently are running a special where you get two entrees and an appetiser (sorry, the last letter of the alphabet doesn't work on my computer) for 20 bucks. What a deal! So, I order their tender, juicy sirloin, always cooked to perfection, with their shrimp parmasean sauce over it. Delighfully delectable! My wife is from Argentina and gives a thumb's up to their steaks. If you know Argentina, they are world-reknown for the best meat in the world. The garlic mashed potatoes are awesome too. Vegetable medley cooked to perfection. Service is always great and most the time, a manager is coming by to see how we are doing. Applebee's knows their steaks. They've won us over.
